MASTERCLASS PAINTING WORKSHOP

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Join me as I show you how I created my Cleddau Barleyfield series of paintings, a chance to play with a beautiful palette of rich colours filled with Cadmium Yellows and other contrasting and complimentary shades. We'll work in acrylics on canvas or canvas board. I'll show you how to build your painting in layers, working whole canvas, demonstrating each stage as we go and aiming to create a painting full of energy, light and colour. It will be an enjoyable day where we'll go from blank white canvas to fully formed painting. There'll be a 30 minute break in the middle of the session. WHAT'S INCLUDED The price of the workshop includes all materials and equipment except paint brushes (see below), tuition, venue hire and refreshments. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING You’ll need to bring suitable clothes and an apron if you have one. Essentially I do not include brushes - this is because they are easily damaged and always best looked after by their owners. Please bring along a range of large brushes including: a 1-2” paint brush (this could be a good quality decorators brush), something like a number 8 long filbert and a number 4 long filbert. Louise can supply you with a set of good quality brushes if you are unsure of what to buy or bring. Please contact studio@louiseburdett.com for details and costs.
