Landscape Painting Course

Creative landscapes in palette knife and brush. Saturdays 10am-2pm.

EndedLawrenny

DESCRIPTION

All materials & equipment (except brushes) provided. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING You'll play with energy, colour and light to create dynamic Pembrokeshire landscapes. Each week we'll work through the processes of a layered landscape working with large brush and palette knife. Playing with technique is really important to stretching technical ability so you'll be encouraged to try new things and make mistakes as this is often where the magic is found. WHAT IT INCLUDES The price of the workshop includes all materials & equipment (except brushes), tuition, venue and tea & coffee making facilities. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING Brushes are always best looked after by their owners - therefore please bring along a range of large brushes including a 2” bristle or hogs hair brush (Pro Art Short Flat bristle brush size 18 or 20 is ideal), something like a number 8 long filbert bristle brush or short flat brush, and one smaller round brush. You’ll need to wear suitable clothing. An A4+ sketchbook is also useful but not essential. Any problems with any of this let me know. WHERE TO BUY BRUSHES: The brushes I have suggested above are all available from West of Wales Art Supplies on Market Street in Haverfordwest (see Jeff). You can also get them on-line.
